Product Review: Dr. Bronner’s Castile Soap For Natural Hair Locks

Ever since I began my natural loc journey , I have been faithfully using Dr. Bronner’s castile magic soaps. I’ve used the liquid consistency, in peppermint (my fave) and lavender scents. In all, I have enjoyed the smell and clarification results of the product. However, I yearned for a shampoo to deeply clean my natural locs as they were beginning to mature. I was very much in love with Dr. Bronner’s that I went searching within the brand for another product for natural hair locks.

That is when I discovered at Target, Dr. Bronners Castile Magic Bar Soap. “Okay,” I thought: “This is the SAME exact thing as the liquid soap, but could it make a difference?” I decided to take a chance and purchase the bar soap instead. While shampooing my hair locks, I found that the bar soap deeply cleans my scalp, gets into my locs, and strips away the dirt and build up.

Dr. Bronner’s castile soap is infused with natural peppermint oil (which smells heavenly) and gives my scalp a tingling feeling while using. This also cleans my scalp and leaves my locs super soft and squeaky clean. Dr Bronner’s products can be found at your local grocery store as well as Target and Walgreen’s.
